About Claudia

I am an Anglican priest, author, wife and mother of two children. My family and I live in the beautiful state of North Carolina, just about half-way between the mountains and the ocean.  We’re not from the south originally, but as the saying goes, we got here as quick as we could.

My life is a lot like that of any other working mom.  In between writing, preaching, teaching and counseling, I’m making sure homework gets done, loading and unloading the washer and dryer, and running to the grocery store.  No matter what I do, though, as a wife, mother and minister, Jesus is teaching me that if I do it for his glory, as his servant and witness, then it has meaning and purpose.  This is how I try to live my life.  I’m not always successful at it, but I serve a gracious and forgiving Lord who is always giving me another chance.

Writing and teaching about Christian life and faith are passions of mine.  Recently, I completed work on a book for teens (and parents) about the essentials of Christian belief.  The title is, Bringing Home the Faith: a Pastor writes to her teenage son about Christian belief. ©

The book began as a series of letters to my son addressing his doubts and questions.   It’s now blossomed into a book for all teens who want uncomplicated and honest answers to their questions and concerns about Christian faith — and for parents who want help talking with their kids about what they believe.  You will find the prologue and first six chapters by going back up to the black page bar, which runs under the large picture, at the top of the blog.  Click “Bringing Home the Faith” for the drop-down menu.  I will post the remaining four chapters and epilogue next summer.

    Hi Claudia,

So nice to see you and meet Caleb. You are truly blessed. I wish there would have been time to sit and chat, and of course more time to play with Caleb. He is precious. Tell Emily that I was sad that she wasn’t at the wedding. Don’t forget to google my dear friend Bonnie Thurston.

Keep blogging. I feel that I know you better each time I sit down to read.
